There will be no services in Tarves Church while coronavirus restrictions are in place but you can continue with worship, prayer and reflection wherever you are. Each week we will add a new ‘service’ on the website. Just click on the image below to open the file.

Sunday 22 March: “Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors”

Sunday 29 March – Passion Sunday: “Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil”

Regular Worship Times when there are no restrictions

Sunday  11.15 am

Worship is held in Tarves Church at 11.15 am on a Sunday. This service is open to all and you can be sure of a friendly welcome, whether you are a member, or have never been to church before. Our formal communion services are held twice a year, on the first Sunday in May and the last Sunday in October. We also offer a shorter communion service after worship, usually on the last Sunday of the month.

We have a printed order of service which allows people to follow what is happening and includes notices about things that are happening in the church. Hymn books are available at the door, including music editions and large print editions.

We recognise that young children cannot be expected to keep quiet and still throughout a whole service and a children’s corner is available with a library and toys. A Messy Church programme is offered for families and family services are held at Christmas, Easter, Harvest and Pentecost. In response to interest which has been expressed by families we are currently considering how best to increase the opportunities for family worship — watch this space!

Thanks to the efforts of a number of willing volunteers, tea and coffee are served after the service except on Sundays where there is communion or Messy Church. This provides an opportunity to get to know others in the congregation.
