    With the aid of the Monsieur Madame collection Isobel will give you 1 hour to practise your conversational French.  Isobel is a qualified French teacher has full PVG disclosure.  It is up to both parties to agree the details.

  2. Tarves Bake Off!  Baking fun for children
    Jayne is well known to our Messy Church families as the imaginative baker behind the food crafts.  Jayne (who has full PVG disclosure) is offering to spend time with up to four children to do some creative baking.  This will be done in the family kitchen of the child/ren and will take around four hours.  Together you can plan what you would like Jayne and the children to make and when.

  3. Tarves Come Dancing!  Learn to dance a waltz and a quickstep
    Got a special occasion coming up?  Eileen, an experienced dance teacher, will provide 90min tuition to one or two people.  Tarves Youth Hall will be the venue and it is up to both parties to arrange a suitable time.

  4. Get knitting!  ‘Yarning’ to learn a new skill?
    Retired primary head teacher Joan, well known to our Messy Church families, has offered to teach a small group the craft of knitting.  The winning bidder can select the group - suitable for adults and/or children.  Together you and Joan (who has full PVG disclosure) can discuss and agree the details.

  5. Pamper your pooch!  Session on dog care & grooming with Dogs R Us
    Want to know more about keeping your dog in good healthy condition?  Professional dog groomer, Melanie, will give you the benefit of her extensive experience by spending time with you discussing aspects of dog care and nutrition.  You may wish this session to include family members, including children, who would benefit from learning more about their pet. (Nothing bigger than a lab please).  It is up to both parties to discuss and agree the details.

  6. Exercise your vocal chords with a 1hr singing lesson
    Want to improve your singing technique?  A one hour lesson with trained singer Katherine will give you plenty of pointers.

    This 45min introductory session with Roger Williams, eminent organist, will certainly test your coordination!  Grade 5 piano or above.

    Fancy afternoon tea for two at this popular spot?  This treat will be in the company of Edith and Bert who will take you there and back from Tarves.  It is up to both parties to discuss and agree the details.

  9. A creative haircut for your holly?  Get some top topiary!
    Do you have an evergreen shrub (eg box, yew, holly) that you would like trimmed into a ball, cone, pyramid, busby, pancake or cube?  As long as you don’t want a cow or Oor Willie, Danny will topiarise it for you.  (Nothing over 8ft tall).  This will be done at a time of year when the shrub can be safely clipped, usually the summer.  It is up to both parties to discuss and agree the details.

  10.  Make your own sun-catcher.  Learn a new skill with ‘Angel Stained Glass’.
    Join Harry in his workshop to create a small piece of stained glass from a choice of designs.  A 4 hour session will take you from choosing and cutting the glass to assembling and soldering.  Not suitable for young children.  It is up to both parties to arrange a suitable time.

  11. Two home-made Lemon Drizzle Cakes
    Tickle your taste buds with Aileen’s delicious recipe.  You can arrange whether you get both at the same time or not.

    Enjoy the delights of a home made Christmas cake with marzipan and plain icing.  Jean is known for her baking and this 9” cake will be just the job for the festive season.  Jean will deliver it you in time for Christmas.  It is up to both parties to discuss and agree the details.

    Joan will create a traditional decorative Christmas wreath from natural materials such as holly, fir and ivy.  She will deliver it to you around 2 weeks before Christmas.  It is up to both parties to discuss and agree the details.

  15.  Immortalise your home with a unique House Portrait
    Commission your very own pencil drawing of your house by Norman who did the drawing of Tarves Kirk which has been made into a print and a card.  Your picture will be suitable for a 16” x 20” frame, or sized as agreed, and supplied in a secure tube for your own framing.  Alternatively, framing and mounting can be done at an additional cost for a ready-made frame.  It is up to both parties to discuss and agree the details.

  16. Does your garden need some TLC? A Winter tidy-up may be in order
