North East Scotland Support for Romania

Based in Turriff, North East Scotland Support for Romania was founded in October 2009.

Volunteers raise money and collect aid to alleviate poverty in the Arad and Timisoara areas of Romania. The projects that they are involved in are: Homeless Shelter, Maternity Hospital, Mother and Baby Unit, Elderly, Street Kids and Families in the outlying villages (education, food, medication).

The Carnegie Room at the Melvin Hall, Tarves, is a drop-off point for donated items on the last Friday of each month from 12 noon to 3 pm.

Items requested include:

  • Clothes (good quality)
  • Towels
  • Bric-a-brac
  • Bedding
  • Toys
  • Books
  • Small items of furniture

If you have items you no longer need, please fill a black bag or box and drop it off at the Melvin  Hall. This will help with much needed fundraising.
